Master-Detail Relationship in Cognos Report Studio

1. Create a List report with just one column Product Line

2. Unlock the Lock Symbol --> Insert another List inside the List Column cell --> Associate this List to Query1

 

3. Now, insert Product Type, Product Name and Revenue columns as shown below

4. Right-Click on List2 and select Master Detail Relationships

 

5. Create a link between Product Line columns as shown below

               

6. Apply formatting as shown below

 

7. Select List Column Title --> select Box Type as None

 

8. Run the report --> You will see the report output like a section created on Product Line
