1. Take a BLANK template in
the Report Studio and create a Value Prompt
in the report page as shown
2. Select the Value Prompt and set the Auto Submit property to Yes
3. Save the report with the
name Product Line Prompt. Now, create
a Crosstab report as shown
4. Go to the Query Explorer --> drag a Slicer Member Set to Slicer area --> create a filter as
shown below
5. Drag a Layout Calculation to the report header and add the following
parameter
6. Enable Drill behavior from
the Data menu
7. Save the report as Product
Line Crosstab. Now, create a Column chart as shown
8. Go to the Query Explorer --> drag a Slicer Member Set to Slicer area --> create a filter as
shown below
9. Drag a Layout Calculation to the report header and add the following
parameter
10. Enable Drill behavior from
the Data menu
11. Save the report as Product
Line Chart.
12. Now, open Cognos Connection and create a New Page as shown
13. Create a portlet page as
shown below
14. Go to the new portal page
Product Line and click on Edit on the top right corner of the first window
15. Select an entry and locate
the report Product Line Prompt
16. Now, click on Report
Properties and select the options as shown
17. Do the similar thing for
the second window and add a Product Line Crosstab to it. Select on Report
Properties and set the following options
18. Now, do the similar thing
for the third window and add Product Line
Chart and set the properties similar to second window.
