Regular Aggregate in Cognos Framework Manager

The Regular Aggregate property works in conjunction with the Usage property to drive the behavior of the auto-summarizing feature of Cognos reporting. For query items with a Usage of Fact, the Regular Aggregate property tells Cognos how to summarize the values. The default is Sum, which most often makes sense for such things as revenue or quantity, but if your fact is a price or a percentage, Sum is probably not what you want. You can change the property setting to any of the supported aggregate types, such as Average, Count, or Maximum, for example.
