Pie charts are used to display a
contribution of the parts to the whole. It shows data in slices with a Measure,
Category and Series. It can plot only one data series.
Note:
When you display the report in PDF or HTML, you can only show a maximum of 16
pies or gauges per chart.
Basic Layout:
Steps to create Sample Pie Chart Report
1. Open Report Studio > create a new report with Blank template.
2. Go to Toolbox menu > Drag a Chart
to the work area > Select Pie and
click Ok.
3. Drag Product Line column from Product
table to the Series > Drag Current Year column from Time Dimension to Categories > Drag Revenue column from Sales table to Measures.
4. Run the report and see the results

Drill-Through on Pie Chart
Pie chart has an option to create drill-through on Legend (Series) or on the whole chart.

how would you tilt a pie chart in cognos
I don't think that you can tilt "Pie Chart" in HTML (or) PDF formats. However, You could get it in Excel format format when you chose 3D Pie Chart.

I want to display no data is available when ever data not present for pie chart. how to do this. currently it is displaying technical message.
